Watercolor painting, 20" x 16", framed and matted, 14" x 10" without frame or mat. Autumn is a favorite time of the year for me because of the rich colors available to the eye. During a trip to northern Wisconsin this little sapling caught my imagination. It was so little in comparison to the older trees around it yet it blazed with color, almost like a small forest fire.
